Ingredients
- 2 pears asian pears are great, but any would do
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 cm fresh ginger thinly sliced
Servings:
Instructions
- Peel the pear and cut the top off (save this for later) Cut out the seeds of the pear to make a hollow
- Place the pear in a bowl and add a tsp of honey and a slice of ginger to the centre of the pear. Place the top back on
- Place the bowl with the pear in a steamer and steam for 15-25 minutes. The colour of the pear will change to be transparent when it is ready. Gently peel away the skin
Recipe Notes
Serve the pear at anytime through the day, eat while it's warm you can keep the leftovers in the fridge. We suggest re-steaming the left overs before eating.
If you are coughing you will find that eating the pear and drinking the syrup that forms is best.
